Hooray! My account was successfully credentialed upon completion of the CITI Research Ethics course. This allowed me to gain access to the eICU Collaborative Research Database. The database includes vital sign measurements, care plan documentation, severity of illness measures, diagnosis information, and treatment information. Intel Acquired

We finally got access to the data! Our plan for this week is to first familiarize ourselves with the data set and sanitize the data. I also spent some of my time continuing to read on RNNs and Neural Ordinary Differential Equations to determine what would be the best for to accomplish our goal.

Data Access

After accessing the EICU data set, we selected the data sets that we would need to analyze and sanitize the data to what we would need to work with. Time was spent this week learning how RNN’s and neural ordinary differential equations work, looking for methods on how to get the most accurate model.

Project Initialization!

The final semester begins and so does major work on our final project. We aim to conduct research on predicting early onset sepsis using a deep learning models.
