Project Initialization!

The final semester begins and so does major work on our final project. We aim to conduct research on predicting early onset sepsis using a deep learning models. I spent most of this first week just reading on RNNs and getting familiar with PyTorch. Also, we identified a promising data set for our research which has a large amount of entries. However, to gain access to the date set we were required to complete a online course . Therefore, I spent about two afternoons doing a CITI research ethics course and then applied for the data set. In the coming I have a ton of reading and research to do and probably a series of long nights. Wish me luck!
